The Problem: How to Create Virtual Church Services
When the COVID pandemic struck, churches were frequently without adequate technology to integrate their services into a meaningful worship service that would do the work of the church and still present a coherent and pleasing service structure.
How did you find PresentationPoint?
Initially, I was looking for a robust tool that would mimic the need for a split-screen.
I was incredibly fortunate to be researching appropriate technological tools, and – quite frankly – stumbled on VideoPoint. While it seemed that much of the potential for VideoPoint was related to business and industry, I thought that I might be able to use VideoPoints capabilities in a worship format that was something akin to an evening news broadcast or a late-night talk show.

VideoPoint. I cannot say how pleased I am with the capabilities of VideoPoint, and even after I’ve used it now for nearly two years now, I am very, very happy that VideoPoint has ‘grown’ to handle my needs – integrated within the necessary software constraints and living with several hardware constraints.
Your Solution
Can you tell us how you solved the problem while using our software? What did our software let you do that you couldn’t before?
Over the past two years, I have moved from a simple split screen kind of evening news view, to a hybrid worship service that incorporates four cameras in diverse locations within the building, four large screen tv monitors, sophisticated PowerPoint capabilities and features, and video recording software. VideoPoint seamlessly will work with pleasing PowerPoint transitions as well as multiple VideoPoint camera views in a single frame/slide when presenting live.
Basically, VideoPoint camera links (to the multiple cameras in the church) are used in the PowerPoint presentation, where they run during the live worship service and are broadcast across HDMI lines to video screens in the sanctuary and to streaming software.

Did you have occasion to contact our support team? What was your experience with our support?
In two years, I have had one occasion to contact the support team. They were courteous, professional, helpful, and quick. A quick email pointed to a change that I needed to make to my settings.
Let me also say that while VideoPoint is reasonably robust, it is also pretty intuitive.  The VideoPoint ribbon is a good combination of feature and options.
The Results
What are the results now that you have your system up and running?
I have used VideoPoint now in several venues in several types of tasks. For the moment, for the power and ease, and for the money, I can’t imagine a better tool than VideoPoint.
I will not only be using VideoPoint in the ways I’ve already mentioned, but will be expanding its use in other venues and ventures (such as instructional or additional religious presentations).
I can’t tell you how pleased I am with VideoPoint. Not only am I doing hybrid worship (in person and virtual) in our church sanctuary in New Jersey, but virtually throughout the US and a few additional countries around the world. I am also using VideoPoint for larger denominational presentations and special videos for church ‘branding’ and introduction and instruction videos.
