For several decades, the Burbank-Glendale (CA) police heliport used a dry erase board to display minimal important information relevant to our busy police air support operation. Since acquiring DataPoint, we are now able to display real-time information including flight schedules, aircraft maintenance schedules, personnel schedules, real-time weather, and even a real-time feed regarding airport conditions. Not only does DataPoint provide a fantastic platform for bringing all of this information together, but it also provides a display that is very pleasing to the eye. The display we now have via DataPoint truly brightens the heliport atmosphere, allows for dissemination of limitless information, and is a tremendous improvement from the old dry erase board days.
