Software update: Perpetual License Transition Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2024
At PresentationPoint, we are committed to delivering the best software experience possible through regular updates, new features, enhanced security, and excellent support. Starting in 2020, we have shifted our licensing model to a subscription-based approach to ensure we can continue to provide this level of service to all of our customers. Below you can find some initial information regarding the application and implementation of the transitioning period and instructions on how to proceed.
Key Information for Perpetual License Holders:
- License Validity: All perpetual licenses are valid for a maximum of 3 years from the date of purchase. After this period, licenses must transition to a subscription plan for continued and updated support.
- Support Limitations: We no longer support the deactivation or reactivation of perpetual licenses for use on different devices or by new users. Transfer between devices or users after initial activation is, therefore, not possible. Bug fixes and maintenance are no longer supported for perpetual licenses. However, we do offer transitioning support for customers seeking to move to our subscription plans.
- Discount Opportunities: We offer benefits for perpetual license holders wanting to transition early to our subscription model. Please contact our support team to find out whether you’re eligible for our “Early-Adopter” program.
